Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will support Google’s EMEA Marketing organisation by providing analysis, financial planning and business partnership. The role helps leaders make informed decisions about budgets, performance and resource allocation while improving reporting and finance processes.
The position involves managing multiple priorities, translating complex data into practical insight and helping the Marketing organisation pursue sustainable growth. The wider Finance team acts as an advisor to the business through strategic analysis, management reporting and increasingly automated financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Support a sustainable EMEA marketing function by enabling sound financial decisions.
- Perform complex analysis, maintain robust quarterly forecasts and help minimise forecast-versus-actual variances.
- Build and scale analytical capabilities, including dashboards and AI-enabled finance solutions.
- Partner with Marketing teams and advise on the allocation of significant product-area budgets.
- Promote a performance-focused culture through meaningful KPIs and ambitious but achievable goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or another quantitative subject, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least two years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting or a related function.
- Experience completing full-cycle budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling in a multinational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building financial reporting, analysis, scalable monitoring and reporting solutions.
- Experience developing strategies in a fast-moving environment and applying sound judgement to resource-allocation decisions.
- Ability to use data and numerical analysis to generate insight and influence decision-making.
