The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Buying Team as a Buying Assistant. This role sits at the centre of the company’s commercial operations and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the global fine-wine market.

The role will be primarily administrative, involved the resolution of supply chain issues. But you will also have the opportunity to work with senior buyers to source wines, analyze market pricing, manage supplier relationships, and help maintain one of the most progressive wine inventories in the industry.

This position is ideal for someone looking to start, or further, their career in fine wine. You will need to be able to work from our London offices at least three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve supply chain issues

  • Coordinate logistics and inventory tracking with operations teams

  • Assist buyers in sourcing wines from merchants, brokers, and private sellers

  • Maintain and update supplier and pricing on the marketplace

  • Support negotiation and execution of wine purchases

  • Monitor market trends and pricing movements in key wine regions

  • Prepare reports and insights on buying activity and market opportunities

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a candidate who is analytical, organized, and commercially curious. An especially excellent work ethic is essential for this role.

Essential

  • Extremely high diligence and work ethic

  • High numerical and analytical ability

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Great Excel / data analysis skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment

Desirable

  • Interest in fine wine (formal qualifications not required)

  • Experience using data tools or analytical software
