First Year Insight Day

Our First Year Insight day is a great way to understand what it's like to work at Ashurst. Through a series of interactive panel discussions and workshops you will learn more about what a career in law entails as well as hearing more about our recruitment process. The Insight day is open to first year students from any degree discipline (or second year students on a four year degree course) who are keen to find out more about law in the City.

The event will take place on 9 April 2026 in our London office from 9am until 4:30pm.

Application Process

You will be asked to complete our application form detailing why you are interested in Ashurst and a career in commercial law. Online testing links will be sent after the closing date of Friday, 27 February 2026. You will be given a set period of time to complete the assessment. We are unable to provide any extension to this timeline unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you do not complete the tests within the timeframe, we will be unable to proceed with your application. Should you require adjustments please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be on hand to assist. You will receive the outcome at least two weeks before the Insight day.

Please note we will not be reviewing applications on a rolling basis therefore all candidates will be notified of the outcome after the closing date and online testing time period at least two weeks before the Insight day takes place.
