Who we are

Resonance is an Applied AI company, founded by a team of seasoned operators and engineers from Europe's leading software investor and a leading AI consultancy. Collectively we've shipped 30+ AI products, embedded AI into 50+ businesses and created $250m of value for them.

AI models are improving faster than companies can use them. The models are good enough today. What's missing is building AI into how a company actually works, and that's what we do. We work with ambitious companies to help fundamentally rewire how they work with AI, and accelerate their growth.

Our mission is to help companies reinvent themselves for the AI era and cross the emerging AI productivity gap.

The role

We are looking for graduates to join Resonance as Applied AI Engineers. You will build production AI systems for our clients from your first weeks, working alongside Senior Applied AI Engineers, and help build the AI products and platform that power our work.

You'll join our first graduate cohort in London or Berlin.

What you'll do

Build and ship

  • Ship production code on client teams: agents, integrations, data pipelines and evals
  • Work across the stack, from the AI layer to the client's core systems and the interfaces people use
  • Contribute to Resonance's own AI products and shared platform

Learn the business

  • Sit with the people who do the work today and see how AI changes it
  • Help client teams run and extend what we build

Grow at pace

  • Coaching from senior engineers who have worked at some of the top AI companies globally
  • Take on more ownership as you grow, and help shape our company as a key member of our team

Your first year

  • Training: Comprehensive training when you join, covering AI engineering, our platform and how we work with clients
  • Your first project: On a client team from your first month, with a Senior Applied AI Engineer who reviews your code and coaches you
  • Progression: You'll start as a Junior Engineer and typically become an Engineer within 18–24 months

How we work

  • A small team: You'll know everyone by name, founders included, and work closely with people across London and Berlin
  • Questions welcome: Nobody expects you to know it all when you start. Asking for help early is part of the job, and senior people make time for it
  • Low ego, high standards: We set a high bar and help each other reach it. Credit is shared, and mistakes are something we learn from together
  • Time together: Three days a week in the office means you learn by working next to people, not just over video calls

Who you are

Mindset

  • You take the initiative: you start things without being asked and see them through
  • You're obsessed with AI and try new models and tools the day they come out
  • New problems and new domains give you energy, and you like solving them with other people
  • You learn fast and go looking for hard problems

Background

  • You're finishing a degree or have already completed one
  • You likely studied Computer Science, Mathematics or another STEM subject
  • You can show what you're capable of through your grades, competitions, internships, societies or things you've built

Technical foundations

  • You write good code in Python or TypeScript
  • You've built something with LLMs: a project, a hackathon entry or an open-source contribution

Nice to have

  • An internship in software engineering, ideally at a startup or a fast-moving product team
  • AI side projects, open-source work or a company you founded
  • German for Berlin roles. English is our working language

Why Resonance

  • Work at the AI frontier: We have investment from a leading frontier lab and some of the most influential leaders in the AI ecosystem; you'll be pushed every day to keep pace with the AI platform shift
  • Build many products, not one: Instead of one product at one company, you'll ship several production AI systems a year across different industries, and help build our own AI products and platform
  • Learn fast: You'll learn alongside engineers and operators who have embedded AI into 50+ businesses
  • Work with the best: Our aim is to build one of the most talent-dense teams in Europe and worldwide; we're seeking out the top 0.1% of operators and engineers to be part of our mission
  • Close Europe's gap: Europe is falling behind on AI. Every build moves another European business to the right side of the productivity gap
  • Build the firm: Join our first graduate cohort and shape how we train, build and grow
  • Top of market compensation: We offer exceptional compensation, with a steep career trajectory and exceptional benefits

Location and logistics

  • Location: London or Berlin. Three days a week in the office or on client sites
  • Travel: Expect 25–50% of your time at clients, mostly in the UK and Europe
  • Right to work: We can sponsor visas for eligible candidates
  • Start date: Summer 2027 (dates tbc)
  • Internships: Summer 2027 internships for students in the penultimate year of their degree
