About the Role
As a trainee in our Audit Department, you will gain hands-on experience handling client matters and visiting client sites, all in aid of working towards your ACA qualification. From day one, we empower you to take on key responsibilities within the team. This enables you to develop the fundamental skills needed to carry out a high quality and efficient audit from end to end. You will work with clients who operate in a diverse range of sectors and will have the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team who take a genuine interest in the progression and development of each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and delivering audit assignments with support and training
- Perform audit testing on financial statement areas (e.g., revenue, expenses, payroll, fixed assets)
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers to a high level of quality
- Collaborating with clients to prepare financial statements
- Retrieve, organise, and analyse client data and supporting documentation
- Support the team with basic financial analysis and identification of unusual trends or variances
- Attend client meetings and communicate professionally with client contacts
- Study towards your ACA qualification
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Strong interest in starting and building a career in Audit
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good numeracy and comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude with willingness to learn and take feedback
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines, including during busy periods
- Eligibility and commitment to study toward a professional qualification (ACA)
