A bit about us

At Gamma, we provide voice, data, and mobile solutions to businesses across the UK, Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. When you join us, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that’s transforming how businesses connect and communicate globally.

We’re growing fast, but we never lose sight of what matters: our people. Whether you're looking to develop your skills, take on new challenges, or make a meaningful impact, Gamma is the place to do it.

What is the role responsible for?

Billing is a vital and complex part of our business. You'll be working in the heart of our business, in a friendly team delivering an industry-leading standard of support to our customers. Our work is a mixture of essential monthly billing tasks and technical work. For a few days each month, the focus is on executing the monthly billing processes. We’re a complex business with multiple products, customers, and revenue streams, so our billing team handles large quantities of data from a variety of sources. Using tools such as SQL and Python, we transform raw data into clear, understandable information shared with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers and teams across Sales, Commercial, Finance, and Product.

Beyond our core billing responsibilities, a significant part of the role involves continuously improving processes, supporting the introduction of new products and services, investigating data anomalies, and resolving issues to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our billing operations.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with:

  • Using tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI, to produce consolidated and accurate billing information for our customers and the wider business.
  • The timely reconciliation of supplier invoices. Sharing your understanding of the trends and variances within the data with our accounts team.
  • Provide clear and concise reports and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the data contained within.
  • Working with our commercial and product teams, understanding the offers they have built for our customers and how these translate to billing.
  • Continually developing and improving the completeness and efficiency of billing tasks, in conjunction with the wider Billing team.
  • Ensuring that all process documentation is up to date and that knowledge is shared sufficiently within the team to provide a resilient service.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:

  • We deal with large and complex data sets, so you’ll be naturally numerate.
  • A solid academic background in a STEM subject is strongly preferred. Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Science graduates have traditionally performed well in this role, but we welcome applicants from areas like Data Science, Economics, Engineering, and Computer Science.
  • You are likely to have strong skills in Excel or SQL. Experience or knowledge of Python, Power BI, GIT, or JIRA would be of use, but we will help you to develop all these skills when you are in the role.
  • Good technical problem-solving skills – you’ll enjoy the challenge of working out how to make things work.
  • You’ll be great at working with others to make things happen and resolve issues.
  • You’ll have strong attention to detail.
  • You will be able to understand complex concepts and be confident about asking questions to deepen your understanding.
  • Based in our central London offices (near to Liverpool Street), this is a hybrid role, and you’ll be required in the office 3 days a week.

What do we offer you?

  • 25 days annual leave + birthday
  • Subsidised private medical insurance
  • 5.1% matched pension contributions
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Life assurance and Income protection
  • Share save and incentive plans
  • Electric Vehicle and Cycle scheme
  • Employee discounts
  • Volunteer day

A few things to note

We require all candidates to be eligible to work in the UK and pass a basic DBS check. If you don’t meet every requirement but feel you could thrive in this role, we would still encourage you to apply.

Gamma is an equal-opportunity employer committed to building diverse, inclusive teams where everyone feels valued and can be their authentic selves. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, especially those underrepresented in our industry. As a family-friendly employer, we foster a culture of trust, autonomy, and flexibility to support your work-life balance and help you thrive at Gamma.
