The Role

BB7 have developed a Graduate scheme to enable enthusiastic and ambitious people to work towards the qualification as a Chartered Building Surveyor. You will be fully supported during the Assessment of Professional Competence with a training programme and regular reviews.

The Building Control & Safety team are currently working on a variety of prestigious projects through-out Ireland, and the successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of these projects from start to completion. Working with Fire Safety Engineers, Façade Engineers and Access Consultants the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in these various fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Assigned Certifiers in the completion of site inspections.
• Assist the Assigned Certifiers in the compilation of inspection plans and certification schedules.
• Preparation and Management of Commencement Notice and Completion submissions on the Building Control Management Systems.
• Liaising with clients, the design teams and contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of Preliminary Health and Safety Plans.
• With the Assigned Certifier attend on-site progress meetings.
• Assist in the review of contractor’s Risk Assessment and Method Statements relating to temporary Works and other activities.
• Assist in the compilation of Safety Files

Requirements

The candidate should have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying or be in the process of completing their final year of the degree.

Health & Safety

Within your role at BB7, you play a part in ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Your responsibilities include following the Health & Safety procedures we have in place, such as wearing appropriate PPE when attending a site visit, completing the mandatory health & safety training annually, reporting incidents, near misses and RIDDORS, and ensuring you are not taking any unnecessary risks at work.
