GLAS is offering a rare opportunity for several graduates to join our expanding Business Solutions Team in London. This team supports our global business by delivering key initiatives that align people, processes, technology, and data with GLAS's overall strategy and vision. They are responsible for driving projects from initial concept through to successful delivery, as well as establishing the appropriate controls to ensure that changes are effective, sustainable, and consistently applied.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Communicating with departments across the business to understand their needs.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Developing and documenting detailed business requirements for business process changes.
  • Supporting in translating business requirements into technical requirements that can be implemented by technical teams.
  • Development and continuation of improved reporting and metrics based upon the requirements of the business.
  • Supporting teams in actioning recommended changes, including training and helping to resolve any issues.
  • Work with the Business Analysis team to gain an understanding of how business requirements are captured and translated into functional specifications for developers.
  • Develop the skills to write Business Requirement Documents and Process definitions.
  • Assist with the development of proof of concepts based on the Appian platform.
  • Develop test plans and scripts to cover system testing stages.
  • Assist with the development of Appian solutions.
  • Assist with building/running other non-Appian solutions.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Graduate ideally in a STEM subject.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Applies knowledge, skills, and techniques to define, control, report and improve processes.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on managing multiple reports, processes, and projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to understand, learn, and utilize technology easily.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable supporting cross-functional, often complex, work streams.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent planning and scheduling skills; ability to improve complex workflows and teams.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Good observation and problem-solving skills and dedication to see it through to the end.
