Develop Your Career in Technical Engineering or Project Delivery
Due to continued growth and an increasing workload across our Cardiff office, we are looking to recruit graduates and early-career professionals to join our Civil & Structural Engineering team in Cardiff.
We are recruiting for two graduate-level career pathways, both suited to candidates with an engineering degree and a passion for infrastructure projects.
Exciting Projects
The Cardiff office has worked on a range of exciting projects, including:
- Network Rail – including the Western Fabrics Programme at stations such as Exeter St Davids, Stroud, Maidenhead, and Penzance, and the Wales Fabrics Programme at Abergavenny, Chester, and Llandudno.

- Principality Stadium, Cardiff – SCALE Attraction – permanent structural design delivered within a live, high-profile environment.
- Par Station Access for All – multidisciplinary rail project involving architecture, MEP, telecoms, geotechnics, fire, and signaling.
Graduate Civil & Structural Engineer (Technical Pathway)
This pathway is aimed at graduates who enjoy calculations, engineering analysis, design, and technical problem-solving. Working alongside experienced Chartered Engineers, you will develop your technical knowledge through real project delivery across bridges, structures, rail, and infrastructure projects.
This route is ideal for candidates who want to become highly capable engineers and ultimately work towards professional Chartership. You will be assisting with engineering calculations, technical analysis, reports, and design documentation, as well as supporting inspections, surveys, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments.
Graduate Project Engineer (Project Delivery Pathway)
This pathway is designed for graduates with a strong engineering background who are interested in the planning, coordination, and commercial delivery of engineering projects. You will support project teams with programme management, budgeting, commercial reporting, project planning, and stakeholder coordination while developing a solid understanding of the engineering principles behind the work being delivered. You will be contributing to project planning, scheduling, and delivery activities, and assisting with commercial reporting, budgeting, and resource planning activities.
Development Opportunities
Both pathways provide excellent development opportunities, structured mentoring, and exposure to major infrastructure projects.
Application Encouragement
As part of your application, we encourage you to include a short cover letter or supporting statement explaining:
- Which pathway interests you most (Technical Engineering or Project Delivery)
- Why that pathway fits your skills, interests, and long-term career aspirations
- Any relevant university projects, placements, internships, or experiences that influenced your decision

- Graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, and a genuine interest in either technical engineering or project delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ambition to develop professionally and progress your career within engineering consultancy.
- Placement, internship, industrial year, or project experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- An interest in either technical analysis, design, and engineering calculations, or project planning, coordination, and commercial delivery activities.
- A desire to pursue either a technical engineering route or project delivery route within a growing consultancy environment.
- Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK and either reside locally to Cardiff or be willing to relocate.
