About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Ecologist to join a well-established environmental consultancy based in Shropshire.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career ecologist looking to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. You will assist with a range of ecological surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) work and ecological assessments, gaining hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.
This position offers structured training, mentoring and clear opportunities for career progression.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Ecology or a related environmental subject
- A strong interest in ecological consultancy and fieldwork
- Some experience of ecological surveys (through work, placements or volunteering)
- A basic understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn ecological report writing and survey methodologies
- Basic IT skills (GIS experience desirable but not essential)
- A positive, team-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
