As we expand, we are seeking a capable and motivated Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic technical team.

The Role:

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and practically minded Chemical Engineer to take on a varied role involving the development, scaling, and implementation of cutting-edge experimental processes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting project delivery across multiple UK sites, including hands-on plant development, H&S compliance, and assistance to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Collaborate and support the design, implementation, and optimisation of chemical process systems including experimental design and pilot-to-plant scaling activities.
  • Assistance: Provide assistance to technicians, and sub-contractors as required during project execution.
  • R&D and Innovation: Contribute to R&D initiatives aligned with inward investment goals and project funding opportunities.
  • Health & Safety: Act as a point of chemical engineering expertise in ensuring compliance with all H&S procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Cross-Site Flexibility: Attend and contribute to project meetings, installations, and commissioning works across South Wales, Hertford, and other UK locations.
  • Practical Application: Take an active role in hands-on work, including fitting and supervising the installation or modification of plant equipment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Help to prepare reports, design documentation, and technical presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively.

Candidate Specification:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate autonomously and within cross-functional teams.
  • Evidence of design, scaling, and implementation of experimental processes and control systems
  • Strong grasp of health and safety principles in chemical/process engineering environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly across multiple UK sites.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
