The Opportunity
We are looking for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Fire Engineering team in our Manchester office as part of our 2026 Graduate Programme, where you will help deliver sustainable projects for our communities, planet, and society.
Our Fire Engineering team has earned a reputation for delivering technically excellent work. From concept to construction, our fire engineering expertise helps to optimise design and ensure complex buildings are compliant with regulations. We have extensive experience across public sector, residential, commercial, industrial, and high-hazard process projects, providing services from site appraisal through planning, design, and delivery.
We seek graduates with a passion for the built environment and the desire to work in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping construction in the UK and overseas. Our projects will inspire you, build your confidence, and enable you to take on big challenges throughout your career.
Your Role
With the support of your manager and senior colleagues, your responsibilities will include:
- Fire engineering design on a number of projects
- Providing early-stage strategic input to design

About You
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a degree and/or master’s qualification in a relevant engineering discipline with modules relating to Fire Safety and Fire Engineering, and a keen interest in our industry, we’d love to receive your application if you are:

Working Pattern
Graduates are asked to come into the office a minimum of 4 days per week to ensure sufficient time with your team and the appropriate level of support.
