Position

What You Will Be Doing

  • Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients
  • Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable
  • Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client’s brief
  • Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
  • Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative
  • Assisting at tender stage of projects

Requirements

What You Bring

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year’s design experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software is preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently

Skills & Attributes

  • A first degree (minimum 2.1) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar
  • Masters degree in geotechnical engineering or similar is preferred
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status
