Required for a September 2025 start with an opportunity for three days paid induction in July. 35 hours per week term time only 8.15am - 4.15pm (a one-hour unpaid break is incorporated in the hours.) Salary scale H2, at £27,729 pa which pro rata is £23,056.66.

The successful candidate will support students both in the mainstream classroom and also in a 1:1 capacity. The candidate will also be expected to lead small group sessions within the core subject areas of Maths and English. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, adaptable and common-sense approach is important.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to support and work with students within and outside of the classroom. It is essential that applicants hold a degree qualification or equivalent. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, adaptable and common-sense approach is important.

This post is ideal for recent graduates who may be considering embarking on a career in teaching, health or social care, as you will have the opportunity to work with young people with a range of needs and benefit from the considerable experience of our Inclusion Faculty colleagues. Excellent CPD opportunities are available in our highly regarded Inclusion Faculty and many of our Interns move on to successful teaching careers or other professional careers working with children and young people.
