Please read the provided attachment 'Bath Spa Graduate Scheme 2026 Information Sheet' for further information about the scheme.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll work on a hands-on project to create simple, supportive online learning resources that help students feel more confident with their studies. Day to day, you’ll work with Library staff and academic colleagues to understand student queries, then turn that into clear digital content that explains how to find reliable information, use Library search tools, evaluate sources, and thoughtfully consider using AI in academic work. You’ll build and test these resources, ensuring they’re easy to follow and genuinely useful for students.

Alongside this project, you’ll also work in the Library and at student events, answering questions and seeing firsthand how students use Library services. This experience will shape the resources you create to better reflect real student needs. You’ll participate in team meetings, use University systems, and receive support to share ideas and work independently, gaining practical experience of how an academic library supports students daily.

(This is an 18-month Full-Time Fixed Term Role)

About You

We’re looking for a graduate who is curious, organised, and enjoys helping others. While previous library experience is not necessary, you should be comfortable using digital tools, eager to learn new systems, and confident communicating ideas effectively. An interest in how students find and use information, and a willingness to seek feedback, will be essential in this role. We’re also looking for someone who can manage time well, take ownership of their work, and balance independent project tasks with teamwork. A positive attitude, fresh perspective, and genuine interest in enhancing the student experience are highly valued.

  • Approach to creating effective and accessible learning content
  • Structured approach to gathering and using feedback
  • Time management and prioritisation
  • Awareness of inclusive engagement and under-represented voices
  • Ability to reflect and adapt based on feedback
  • Evidence of a positive and proactive attitude to learning
