Everyday Impact

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including food, water, energy, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Who You Are

You are a recent graduate with a mechanical or chemical engineering degree. You care about working for an organisation that is leading the way in providing world-class technology and equipment for the food and water industries. You are driven and see solutions rather than problems, effectively prioritising and executing tasks. A focus on continuous improvement is in your DNA.

About the Job

Alfa Laval is a leading global provider of first-rate products in the areas of separation, food systems, heat transfer, and fluid handling. With these as its base, Alfa Laval aims to help enhance the productivity and competitiveness of its customers in various industries throughout the world. We define their challenges and deliver sustainable products and solutions that meet their requirements in the food industry.

We are seeking recent University Graduates to join our Graduate Programme here in the UK&I. This role will be mainly office-based on our Head Office, currently in Camberley, Surrey. The successful candidates will join us in September 2025 and embark on a varied and exciting 18-month, structured programme designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional within the Food and Water Division.

You will be empowered to drive your career and will be exposed to a variety of experiences to assist you in gaining the skills you require to succeed. The programme provides a deep immersion into the markets, product solutions, and tools needed for success at Alfa Laval. At the start of the 18-month rotation, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to spend a short amount of time with the other two divisions within the business, Marine and Energy, in both sales and service. During this period, they will be building internal and external relationships, which will assist in achieving success in the role they are appointed to at the end of the programme. This will be a technical specialist focusing on separation technologies within our Food and Water Division.

What You Know and Requirements

  • You have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • Ideally, you will have knowledge of industrial equipment (separation and fluid handling), heat transfer, and/or food technologies
  • You have the right to work in the UK from the start date
  • You have a genuine passion for technology and engineering, with a keen interest in industrial equipment and innovative solutions
  • Valid driving licence is an advantage
