The Recipe (About the Role)

We are looking for ambitious graduates with a passion for quality, food safety, and continuous improvement. You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, curiosity, leadership potential, and the ability to build effective relationships. Whether through university projects, placements, part-time employment, or extracurricular activities, you will have shown initiative, resilience, and a desire to solve problems.

This programme will develop the next generation of Quality and Food Safety Managers through structured rotations, mentoring and hands-on experience across supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and compliance.

Year 1: Supplier Quality & Raw Materials

In your first year, you'll build a strong foundation in Quality and Food Safety by working closely with our supplier and intake quality teams. You'll assess incoming ingredients and packaging, investigate supplier-related issues, support audits and traceability activities, and help drive continuous improvement projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how we ensure the materials entering our factories meet the highest quality standards.

Year 2: Retailers, Audits & Quality Systems

During year two, you'll broaden your experience by supporting retailer requirements, quality systems, audits, and traceability processes. You'll gain exposure to customer and retailer standards, provide data and insights that support business decisions, contribute to improvement projects, and help maintain the systems that underpin food safety and compliance across the business.

Year 3: Manufacturing Quality Leadership

By your third year, you'll take on increased responsibility within our manufacturing environment, developing towards a Factory Quality Manager role. You'll lead quality improvement projects, support major audits, manage food safety incidents, drive root cause investigations, and work alongside operational teams to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality and food safety standards.

From supplier quality to systems management and factory leadership, our graduate programme is designed to give you a broad, practical understanding of Quality and Food Safety while developing the skills and experience needed for a future leadership career at Weetabix.
