Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will help kickstart the creation of our new SaaS product. You should be comfortable working within our modern tech stack (JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node, Three.js) and ready to tackle challenges in a fast-paced startup setting. You will collaborate closely with our product management team, contribute to technical decision-making, and, when needed, communicate directly with clients to explain technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Features: Build robust, scalable components using JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node, and Three.js.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product management and design teams to transform ideas into functional code.
• Rapid Prototyping: Quickly translate product requirements into working software, adapting to changes as necessary.
• Client Interaction: Occasionally participate in meetings to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and gather feedback.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and maintain a high standard of code quality under tight deadlines.
• Documentation: Document your code and development processes to ensure clarity and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, with experience in React, Next.js, Node, and Three.js.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices and tools.
• Communication Skills:
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence to engage in client meetings and discussions.
• Adaptability:
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team Player:
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate with a diverse team.
• Desirable Experience:
  • Previous internship or project experience in a startup or agile environment is a plus.
  • Driver’s license (for site visits)
  • Welsh language experience
