Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

We are seeking a Graduate Stress / Finite Element Analyst to support structural analysis activities on advanced gas turbine components. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply and develop their skills in finite element analysis (FEA) and mechanical design within a world-leading aerospace environment.

The successful candidate will assist in performing structural assessments of rotating and static components for gas turbine engines, gaining exposure to industry-standard tools and techniques. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will help deliver analysis results, support technical documentation, and contribute to the continued success of major aerospace programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support stress and structural analysis of gas turbine components using 2D and 3D FEA.
  • Assist in creating and validating finite element models for structural and thermal analysis.
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to design substantiation reports.
  • Collaborate with experienced analysts and design engineers to assess fatigue, fracture, and life performance.
  • Prepare technical summaries and assist with presentations to internal teams.
  • Contribute to process improvement and learning activities within the stress team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree (BEng or MEng) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Understanding of solid mechanics, finite element methods, and materials behaviour.
  • Familiarity with any major FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, or NX Nastran) — university or project experience accepted.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

Desirable Skills (Training Provided)

  • Awareness of gas turbine component design and operation.
  • Knowledge of fatigue, fracture, or damage tolerance principles.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD and PLM tools (e.g., Siemens NX, Teamcenter).
  • Interest in aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, or repair engineering.

Professional Development

You will receive full training and mentorship from experienced engineers, with opportunities to participate in advanced aerospace projects. This role provides a structured path for professional growth towards Chartered Engineer status within a global engineering organisation.

We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.

We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the world's hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
