Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Graduate Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contributing to a variety of exciting projects and gaining valuable experience to further your career.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Use Eurocodes, British Standards, Building Regulations and CDM to develop robust, efficient and safe designs.
• Prepare hand calculations and use analysis and design software, such as Tekla, Robot, and TEDDS.
• Develop structural designs with a range of materials including concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
• Produce hand sketches and assist with preparation of drawings in AutoCAD.
• Prepare design calculation packs, drawings, and reports under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Support senior engineers in project designs from planning through to completion.
• Assist with planning and conducting site investigations and surveys.
• Attend meetings with clients and other project team members.
• Communicate effectively with the team and client to maintain positive relationships and ensure successful project delivery.
• Keep your professional development and CPD up to date, and work towards your Chartership with the ICE and/or IStructE with the support of your mentor and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education : A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a UK-based university.
• Technical Knowledge : Experience designing to British Standards and Eurocodes. Knowledge of CDM regulations, engineering principles, and construction methods.
• Technical Skills : Ability to produce hand calculations and sketches. Experience with excel, AutoCAD and Tekla would be beneficial.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
