Your Role

As Tax legislation is becoming increasingly complex, our clients need to understand how the evolving Tax environment impacts their situation. As a Tax associate, you will help our clients manage their Tax affairs, both Corporate and Personal, to ensure they stay ahead of the changing legislation, identify Tax planning opportunities, and minimise risk.

As Corporate Tax advisors, we work closely with our clients to best understand their business operations to pro-actively provide tailored advice. If you are someone with a keen interest to help Companies with their Tax compliance obligations and ensure they remain competitive in their industry by paying the correct amount of Tax, working in our Tax team provides a great opportunity to do so. To ensure we provide a high level of service to our clients we are analytical and detail-oriented which ensures our client’s are complying with the everchanging tax legislation.

The Programme

Our Tax trainee programme is designed to give you the qualifications, skills and experiences you need to embark on a rewarding career within Tax.

You will study towards the ACA/CTA joint pathway. These qualifications will give you the technical expertise and insight to advise our clients.

During this fixed term training programme your role will be split, working with both our Private and Corporate clients.

The private client work will involve advising on individuals personal tax affairs, compliance obligations and planning opportunities. We work with a range of individuals, from wealthy non-domiciled individuals to entrepreneurs and business owners. We provide consulting advice in numerous spaces, with a particular focus on global mobility, business exits, inheritance tax and remittance basis planning.

The Corporate Tax work will involve working closely with our Audit and Accounts department to prepare Tax provisions, finalising these provisions and preparing Corporation Tax Returns, ad-hoc tax compliance work such as the preparation of Employee Related Securities Returns as well as assisting with advisory services on numerous matters. We work with an exciting range of Companies varying in both size and industry so everyday is different.

In addition, there will also be opportunities to develop a better understanding in other areas of Taxation and to work closely with our VAT team and our overseas offices.

This varied experience will allow you to gain exceptional insight into Taxation.

Entry Requirements

It is preferred that applicants will have achieved, or are on course to achieve, a 2:1 degree from a university, however, a 2:2 degree will be considered. The subject of your degree is not important, we are more interested in the characteristics and skill sets of the applicant.
