The School seeks to appoint enthusiastic, intellectually curious, and committed graduates to join their English, Mathematics, and Humanities Departments from September 2026. These posts are ideal for those considering a future in teaching or looking for a rewarding year immersed in the life of a leading co-educational boarding school.
Set in one of the most beautiful school campuses in the country, the school is a thriving HMC boarding and day school of around 650 pupils aged 13–18. Their pupils are engaged, positive, and ambitious, and their staff community is warm, collaborative, and forward-thinking. Graduate Teachers play a full part in school life while benefiting from a significantly reduced timetable, structured mentoring, and internal teacher training.
Successful candidates will:
- Teach a reduced timetable within a lively and supportive department
- Receive internal training, mentoring, and regular professional development
- Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, including tutoring and evening duties
- Support the co-curricular programme (sport, activities, societies, trips, music, drama)
- Embrace the opportunities and demands of a busy boarding environment
- Assist with lesson cover outside their department
These roles may suit current final-year students or recent graduates in a relevant academic discipline. No teaching qualification is required; enthusiasm, adaptability, reliability, and a willingness to get involved are essential.
