Graduate Town Planner

Turnberry Town Planning Consultants is a boutique planning consultancy based in London and Scotland delivering creative, sustainable, and effective planning solutions for a diverse client base.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Town Planner to join our collaborative and forward-thinking team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for planning and a desire to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.

You will get the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the country from new community promotions to applications for listed buildings.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with planning applications, appeals, and research

• Analyse planning policy and development proposals

• Draft reports, attend site visits, and liaise with clients and local authorities

• Monitor policy changes and support project delivery across sectors

What You’ll Bring (Essential)

• A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography or a related field

• An RTPI-accredited Master’s degree or be working toward one

• High research and analytical skills

• Clear, confident written and verbal communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proactive attitude

Desirable

• Interest in professional development (RTPI events, workshops, etc.)

• An understanding of the development management process

• Some local planning authority experience
