About the Scheme
This two-year fixed-term programme provides you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy finance department.
- Undertake a substantive placement in a host department
- Complete a series of rotational placements across the department
- Work on meaningful projects with real impact
- Develop a broad set of transferable professional skills
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Graduate Trainee, you will be trusted with genuine responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to the University’s operations. Your role will include:
- Supporting the delivery of departmental objectives and key projects
- Conducting research, analysing information, and producing reports and presentations
- Contributing ideas and innovative solutions to improve processes and services
- Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and priorities
- Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, and external partners
- Supporting key University activities such as Open Days, Clearing, Graduation, and events
- Ensuring compliance with University policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
About You
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic graduates who are keen to learn, develop, and make a positive contribution.
- Be a recent graduate of the University of Greater Manchester (minimum 2:2 or postgraduate qualification) from 2024/2025 or 2025/2026.
- Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Show the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges
- Have an interest in developing a career within a professional services environment
A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to personal development are essential.
