About the role
As a Graduate User Centred Designer (UCD), you’ll help design inclusive, accessible digital services that meet real user needs within healthcare and public sector environments.
From day one, you’ll work as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams, supporting the design of user centred solutions through research, prototyping and iteration. You’ll contribute to meaningful services that impact users at scale, while developing your skills in a structured, supportive environment.
This role is ideal for graduates who are curious about how people interact with technology and are motivated to build a long term career in healthcare technology delivery.
What you’ll do
• Support user centred design activities, including user research, ideation and prototyping
• Contribute to the creation and iteration of designs based on user insight, feedback and evidence
• Work alongside designers, developers, business analysts and delivery colleagues in Agile teams
• Help communicate design decisions and contribute to design discussions with a range of stakeholders
• Apply UX and UCD principles within secure, highly regulated environments such as healthcare and the public sector
You’ll be supported throughout your journey with mentoring, coaching and accredited development.
About you

• Practical experience gained through university projects, internships or placements involving UX design, user research, prototyping or human‑centred design
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and present your work to different audiences
• A curious, empathetic and detail‑oriented mindset, with a strong interest in understanding user needs and behaviours
• Confidence working openly and collaboratively within mixed teams (clients, suppliers and contractors)
• A basic understanding of UX principles, with enthusiasm to continue developing your skill
