Description
We are looking for a junior web developer to join our engineering team in Cambridge. You will be working on the Wolf Security Controller - a web-based management platform for our product.
The Controller provides security policy and software updates for the endpoint security product installed on the client PCs. It also receives status, events, and threat data from these clients, including malware traces which are used to produce interactive visualisations in the Controller UI and summarised in reports. The Controller is deployed at scale, both on-premises at individual corporate enterprises with tens of thousands of clients, and in the cloud across multiple Amazon AWS instances. We're looking to scale further, while also adding support for new products and enhancing existing features.
Working within a small and focused team you'll have the opportunity to specialise in front-end or back-end, or progress as a full-stack developer. There may also be an opportunity to work on the Windows endpoint management platform component in C# and C++.
You Will Be Responsible For the Following as a Graduate Web Developer:
- The API and UI backend (Python 3, Django, SQL)
- The background worker service/task queues (Celery)
- Front-end UI and data visualisation (React, Typescript, Vue.js)
- Deployment to AWS
- Installation and upgrade on customers' self-hosted, on-prem servers.
- Unit tests, automated installation tests, anything else we can have the CI system do for us
Requirements for the Graduate Web Developer
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject from a well-regarded university
- Demonstrable interest in web development through hobbies, student projects, or internships
- A self-starter mindset ready to jump into working on complex problems
This is a 1-year placement position.
We welcome applications from postgraduates and students graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
If you’re passionate about using technology to solve big problems in a rapidly evolving world, then we need to hear from you!
