The Role

DigitalKOG is looking for a Graduate or Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative marketing team in Preston. We welcome applications from ambitious designers with strong creative potential and a genuine enthusiasm for design. We are looking for someone with a natural creative flair who enjoys developing ideas and creating engaging design work for our home improvement clients.

At DigitalKOG, we keep the end user at the centre of every piece of creative. Our focus is on producing work that helps attract customers and supports real business growth. We believe that creativity without results has limited value, so we measure success by the impact our work has on performance as well as how it looks.

Our creative approach is always evolving. We continually refine our design output to stay responsive to changing trends, audience behaviour and the wider marketing landscape. Every piece of work is rooted in a clear understanding of each client and their brand strategy, so we are looking for someone who is ready to embrace that mindset and develop a strong sense of creative purpose.

In this role, you will benefit from direct mentorship from our Creative Director and Senior Creative Designer. You will work across a wide range of projects, helping to turn campaign concepts into effective creative content across multiple marketing channels. This will include concept development, front-end web design, email marketing, social content creation, and creative copywriting. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the wider creative team while collaborating with our experienced marketing specialists.

The successful candidate will have experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Agency experience or a relevant placement would be beneficial, but it is not essential.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with After Effects and Adobe XD would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • A good eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, with the ability to create effective, well-balanced designs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Creative, curious and willing to explore new ideas and approaches.
  • Comfortable collaborating with the wider team to help maintain high creative standards and output.
  • Confident managing multiple projects at once and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate ideas visually in a clear, thoughtful and well-reasoned way.
  • Skilled in typography and layout skills within highly effective designs.
  • A positive team player who can also use their own initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Willing to ask for feedback, proof checks, and guidance at the right stages to ensure work meets expectations before final delivery.
  • A genuine interest in current design trends, social culture, and digital design best practices.
  • Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities or project requirements.
  • An interest in designing for a range of marketing channels, including web, email, and social media.
  • Eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within a creative marketing team.
  • Keen to understand client brands, target audiences, and the commercial purpose behind the work.

Your Benefits

A continuously rewarding role

Our team members work incredibly hard and we like to reward them for that. So, on top of receiving a competitive salary, we'll also treat you to a yearly bonus when you help us achieve our ambitions. You will be given the freedom to shape the future direction of our agency. All ideas are welcomed and listened to as we know that our people drive our success and we want everyone to be a part of that.

A great working environment

We have our own dedicated office space, where we love collaborating together, with lots of FREE private parking available. The office is brilliantly located, close to the motorway for simple commuting, with a retail park just across the road – fancy a Burger King, Costa or Greggs for lunch?

Lots of social opportunities

DigitalKOG very much feels like a family and we all love getting out after work, whether it’s going to the local micropub or heading into town for a curry.

A generous holiday allocation

We know that agency life can be very fast-paced and how important it is for our team members to have time out from that to recharge the batteries. So, we offer 30 days’ holiday, PLUS bank holidays, including a total shutdown over the Christmas break – not many agencies can compete with that. To help you get financially prepared for life after work, you will also be enrolled onto a competitive pension scheme.

Fantastic scope for personal development

We are firmly committed to enhancing your personal and professional development, providing 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring programs, team workshops, and soft skills training, overseen by our resident Development Coach, Charlotte Haslam. There will also be dedicated learning days as we take knowledge sharing seriously, with in-house training programs, innovation days, and opportunities to get involved in 3rd party training all available. We’ll also support you in furthering your learning outside of work.

We promote employee wellbeing

Supporting the mental health of our team is a major priority for us. We run a series of initiatives to develop team relationships and keep everyone’s mental wellbeing strong.
