About Us

At IOTech Systems, we build software that sits at the heart of industrial edge deployments. Think manufacturing lines, energy infrastructure, smart buildings, all generating data that needs to be collected, processed, and acted on in real time. Our platform is used by some of the world's leading industrial operators, and we're growing the engineering team that builds it.

We're looking for a graduate or junior software engineer who wants to learn fast and work on genuinely challenging problems in a small, experienced team.

What You'll Do

  • Research, design, develop, test, maintain and support software products at the forefront of IoT Edge platform technology.
  • Develop software in a variety of languages including Go, Python, and Typescript.
  • Work alongside a dedicated team of experienced, talented engineers.

What We're Looking For

You don't need experience in everything below, what matters is that you can code competently and pick up new languages quickly. Evidence of your programming through GitHub or personal projects is a real plus.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline with strong computing content, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Good coding skills, ideally confident with Go, C, Python, or a related language such as C++.
  • Experience with containerised applications (Docker) is highly desirable.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for solving technical problems and an interest in IoT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is a bonus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive employer pension contribution.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with extra days for length of service.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Life insurance through YuLife, including its wellbeing rewards app.
  • Social club fund and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • A dedicated mentor to help you learn on the job.
  • A modern WeWork office on George Street in central Edinburgh, with all the perks that come with it: barista coffee, events, wellness rooms, and more.
  • Potential for progression and personal development in a growing international company.
