Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Placement Student to join our HR team for a 12-month placement. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, employee engagement, HR administration, and workforce planning.
Main Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, personnel record management, employee communications, and responding to day-to-day HR queries.
- Support employee relations and absence management activities by maintaining absence records, producing reports, coordinating formal meetings, and assisting with case administration in line with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruitment and early careers initiatives, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, supporting candidate communication, facilitating work experience programmes, and delivering new starter inductions.
- Support learning, development, and wellbeing activities through the coordination of training programmes, Occupational Health referrals, medical appointments, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR systems and documentation, ensuring employee data, records, and reports are updated and managed in accordance with company processes and confidentiality requirements.
- Contribute to HR and company projects, events, and departmental operations and assist with the delivery of people-focused initiatives.

Requirements
Essential:
- Currently studying towards a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Organisational and administrative skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional approach to confidential information and sensitive employee matters.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with employees and managers.
Desirable:
- Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience.
