For a company like L'Oréal, our people and their unique talents are at the core of everything we do. Supporting our diverse workforce across our 40 global brands is a rewarding challenge that takes a lot of empathy, strategic thinking, and collaboration. As an HR Intern, you’ll join our dynamic teams to help shape the employee experience, foster an inclusive culture, and develop the talent that drives our business forward.
Day-to-day, you may be:
- Supporting the recruitment lifecycle: coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and driving employer branding initiatives
- Designing and delivering learning programs: coordinating training sessions, managing digital learning platforms, and upskilling employees
- Assisting HR Business Partners: supporting day-to-day employee relations, onboarding new starters, and managing key HR projects
- Analysing HR data: extracting and interpreting people metrics to support talent planning and diversity initiatives
- Coordinating employee engagement events: organizing internal initiatives, wellness programs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) campaigns
- Managing HR administration: ensuring accurate employee records, updating internal systems, and supporting policy compliance
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A sense of initiative and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and connect with employees at all levels
- The ability to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proactivity and a keen eye for improving HR processes and employee experiences
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive employee data and documentation
- A balance of empathy and analytical skills to understand both human and business needs
- The ability to work autonomously
You are... In your second year at university on a course that includes an Industrial Placement Year (if you have already graduated, please check out our graduate roles instead!).
What’s In It For You
- A place for you to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential (here, you’ll be encouraged to try new things and take risks!)
- Real responsibility from day 1, there’s no sitting on the sidelines at L’Oréal
- An environment where people of every ethnicity, social background, age, religion, gender and sexual orientation as well as people with disabilities are accepted, can speak up, will thrive and are celebrated!
- A place where you can contribute to something bigger! Many of our brands have societal /environmental causes to make concrete difference
Next steps... Once you click apply, you’ll be asked some questions to check your eligibility for this role. These will include questions about your current situation, whether you’re happy with the salary, location, etc.
A quick note on our process: We believe in a human-first recruitment experience. While our online assessments are scored automatically, every single application is carefully reviewed by our team - we do not use AI to make hiring decisions on your profile. If you'd like to know more about AI use in our application process, please read more here(opens in new window).
Our Assessment Centres are held in person, running from 20th October through to late November. These Assessment Centres are specific to function, so please be patient if you don’t get invited straight away - it might just be because your function’s Assessment Centre date is later in the recruitment period!
Please note: If you apply for multiple positions, you’ll be put forward for the ones most suitable for you. If you have a strong preference, please only apply to that single role to ensure you are considered for your top choice. You can apply for a maximum of 3 roles.
