A Day in the Life of a Human Factors Intern

For a period of 12 months, you will work as part of Teva’s Combination Products and Devices (CPD) Research and Development (R&D) team, based in Abbots Park, Runcorn. CPD develops needle-based injection devices for delivery of Teva’s sterile liquid medications. Our broad portfolio of both generic and specialty medicines covers a variety of device technologies, Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS), pen injectors and autoinjectors, for the treatment of a wide range of diseases, including anaphylaxis, migraine and diabetes.

This is a unique chance to immerse yourself in the field of medical device and combination product development. You will support the research, design, and development of medical needle-based injection devices, all while learning about the regulations, guidelines, and standards relevant to this industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the human factors activities at various stages of development, from research through design, verification, and validation, and into life-cycle management.
  • Follow Human Factors processes and procedures according to regulations/best practice.
  • Support use-related risk management activities and other risk management activities.
  • Collaborate internally within cross-functional departments.
  • Support Human Factors design history file activities.
  • Support user studies and logistics.

Who We Are Looking For?

Do you have?

  • A degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Industrial Design or similar.
  • Understanding of product design from concept to commercialization.
  • A great personal interest in Human Factors, usability, ergonomics, and medical devices.

Are you?

  • Capable of operating independently.
  • A good communicator both verbally and in written form.
  • Bringing an aptitude for working in a team environment and operating outside remit to meet deadlines when necessary.
