Human Rights Congress Wales Support Intern / Intern Cymorth Cyngres Hawliau Dynol Cymru
Duration: June 2026 to September 2026
Hours: 35 hours per week; flexibly.
Working pattern: Full-time. Part-time hours considered.
Location: Cardiff or home-based with regular travel to Cardiff.
Welsh language category: Desirable (not essential)
Internship aim
To assist with the promotion, administration, and running of the Wales Human Rights Congress (happening on 16 September in Cardiff City Stadium)
Between June and September supporting organisation of the Wales Human Rights Congress taking place on 16 September 2026 at Cardiff City Stadium.
Development will be provided as part of the placement.
Tasks involved in this placement include:

Assisting draft the Programme and agenda for the day
-
Providing administrative support to the working group on a draft human rights bill for Wales
-
Providing administrative support to the Congress organising group
-
Helping organise and promote pre-congress mini-training events and information events
-
Liaison with speakers for the Congress
-
Helping liaise with interpreters, translators, and other professionals supporting Congress
-
Helping promote Congress and encourage people to attend (Including at Gofod3)
-
Responding to queries about Congress
-
Helping on the day of Congress
Full support will be provided by the Human Rights Consortium Cymru manager.

Develop your knowledge and understanding of human rights law, policy, and practice internationally in Wales

Develop your understanding and experience of organising a conference and events

Develop your understanding and experience of coproduction processes

Develop your experience of communicating with a wide range of different audiences and communities
You will also have access to WCVA’s staff training programme during this internship.
