Your tasks

As part of our Forensics Services team, you will fight white-collar crime and protect the corporate values and reputation of national and international clients.
As a relatively new team within FTI Consulting, our spirit is entrepreneurial from the ground up - we thrive on initiative and encourage team members at all levels to take matters of our development into their own hands and drive them forward. This internship will be for six months and is to be filled at our location in Düsseldorf.

Your main tasks include:

  • Forensic consulting: You will support the Forensics and Litigation practice in Düsseldorf in advising companies that are suspected of white-collar crime or other compliance violations.
  • You will gain insights into special investigations to clarify the facts as well as the prevention of white-collar crime and the improvement of compliance management and internal control systems.

In addition, you can take on partial responsibility in areas of forensic special investigations:

  • Forensic analysis of structured data (e.g. data analysis and audits of financial and accounting data),
  • Structuring, organisation and presentation of forensic findings;
  • Preparation of informative and forensic interviews;
  • Preparation of forensic documents, such as infographics, reports, presentations
  • Analysis and review of unstructured data (e.g. e-mail communication and chat programs, etc.).

This internship will give you an authentic insight into the world of Forensics. The internship will pass you by optimally and we focus on sustainability in career planning and development for our interns and employees. After a successful internship period, you will also have the opportunity to take a permanent position.

What you should bring with you for your success

  • You are studying at least in the fourth bachelor's semester / last year of your studies in the field of economics and have a focus on accounting, auditing and/or finance.
  • Ideally, first points of contact through internships with forensic projects or accounting/auditing.
  • Very good analytical thinking, a pronounced willingness to perform, initiative and a high level of teamwork.
  • Good IT user skills (especially MS Excel & PowerPoint) as well as very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken. Another foreign language is not absolutely necessary, but it is helpful.
  • Great skills in presenting results, as well as a high degree of independence, commitment and analytical thinking.
