Business Context
Our Investment Banking team is a leading global franchise with over 500 professionals in North America, Europe and Asia. We provide our corporate and institutional clients with capital markets and financial advisory services and integrated solutions. We’re on the lookout for talented individuals to join our London Investment Banking teams covering Power, Utilities and Energy Communications and Media, Verticalized Software Data and Analysis, and Mining as Investment Banking Summer Analysts and support a franchise with exceptional growth prospects. Position Overview
As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will work under the direction of a senior officer and with other experienced professionals in the VSDA team, helping to generate ideas, advise clients and execute transactions.
How you will contribute
- Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data
- Develop operating and valuation models of private and public companies as well as merged entities
- Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities
- Prepare external client presentations, proposals and internal memos
- Aid senior team members with idea generation and in all phases of M&A transaction execution
- Work proactively across multiple product groups and geographies
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 2:1 or above degree (or equivalent) qualification
- Previous work experience in corporate finance or investment banking
- Demonstrated experience in relevant financial modelling and valuation work
- Genuine interest in software, data and analytics
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver accurate results under time pressure
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong judgment able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization, including external stakeholders
- Fluency in at least one additional European language is advantageous
Terms of the offer:
- The role will be based in our 33 Cork Street London office
- TD offers a flexible work environment with up to 2 days per week working from home
