Junior Account Executive

Code Red Communications Ltd is a specialist cyber security PR agency based in Woking, Surrey, which specialises in delivering targeted media campaigns for clients across EMEA. We are looking to further expand and strengthen our team with results driven, highly motivated, creative PR professionals to help manage and implement client PR campaigns.

Account Executives are on the frontline of our agency, creating compelling stories, directly pitching to and building relationships with journalists and securing coverage for our clients. A Junior Account Executive must be enthusiastic, proactive, persuasive, tenacious and possess excellent communication skills. Applicant must be a team player, be able to work on their own initiative, under pressure and often to tight deadlines. A 'hands-on' attitude is essential. You will be working alongside an experienced team of PR professionals who will help develop and hone your skills for a successful career in PR.

The role of a Junior Account Executive includes:

• Media Relations – Developing news angles, pitching and building relationships with journalists to sell in media stories and generate coverage for clients. This includes an eagerness to understand the media landscape and developed tailored press lists for clients to meet campaign objectives.
• Copywriting - Writing engaging copy including press releases, media pitches and byline articles, that will resonate with the target audience.
• Teamwork - Working alongside and collaborating with the account teams to develop and implement creative media campaigns.
• Client Relations – Communicating and reporting to clients on the success of the media campaigns.

• Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• An interest in the cyber security industry

Desirable:

• Good academic/graduate-level background (Journalism, PR, Marketing and Communications, English)
• Relevant work experience
• Experience with social media and HD video production
