Junior Quantity Surveyor/Assistant QS-Advanced Excel Skills

We are looking for a capable and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction and development team in Brighton and Mid Sussex. The ideal candidate will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, strong numerical ability and an interest in construction estimating and commercial cost control.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the preparation and analysation of construction estimates

• Assisting with comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Maintaining Excel estimating and cost control spreadsheets

• Assisting with tracking project expenditure against budgets

• Assisting with the preparation of variation and valuation schedules

• Analysing material, labour and subcontract costs

Essential skills requires:

• Excellent Excel skills, including formulas, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables and spreadsheet reporting.

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good organisation and communication skills.

• A genuine interest in construction and commercial management.
