During an exceptional 44-month training programme you will learn and develop the technical skills and theory to become a member of our outstanding maintenance team. A maintenance member develops and maintains equipment so our production team can produce the Toyota Corolla to perfect standards every time, on time.
You will work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. Upon successful completion of the programme, you are guaranteed a permanent position at Toyota as a maintenance team member working as a multiskilled maintenance technician.
What will you be doing?
Training in our onsite Technical Skills Development Centre, you will learn skills such as welding, electrical installation, technical drawing and PLC programming, through a mix of classroom based and hands on work.
- For the first 22 months (Stage 1), you will train in our onsite Technical Skills Development Centre, gaining practical experience in a variety of skill areas and learning the technical theory behind them.
- Your final 22 months (Stage 2) will be spent in a hands-on role, learning how to practically apply and develop your new skills in a real-work environment. You will work alongside and be supported by our highly skilled maintenance team members.
- Further offsite activities will develop teamwork, communication, and planning through an outward bound residential and community volunteer project.
Entry requirements: You must have obtained or be predicted a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above including Maths, English Language and two other subjects.
