Marketing intern

The UK subsidiary, located in Farnham, Surrey, is a team of 48. It sources products from Germany and distribute them across various industries through a network of distribution partners. The marketing team works alongside sales, product management, customer services, procurement and the finance teams to support by creating tactical sales support, creating campaigns with distributors and user-focused brand and educational content. As a result the work environment is varied and stimulating for those looking to get an overview from a multi-disciplined team.

Responsibilities

May involve but not limited to:

• Support content creation and management for digital marketing channels
• Work with marketing team to create content for posting on Instagram to support brand and campaign messaging. This may involve spending time with sales team and their work with end-user customers
• Identify and work with Instagram and YouTube influencers that support and promote the uvex brand
• Contribute to social media content creation, posting, and engagement
• Develop engaging copy for various marketing materials
• Provide the marketing manager with reporting, analytics and insights for the social posts
• Help create and report internal marketing content which helps foster the company's culture
• Work with marketing manager and sales team using Tracker software to identify and communicate sales opportunities
• Work with the marketing manager and product manager to communicate new products to distribution partners
• Provide support at trade shows and customer events
• Work with the sales personnel and marketing manager to analyse distributor website to ensure they reflect both the uvex brand and its products. Challenge the sales person and relevant personnel within the distribution partner to ensure updates are made
• Support the PPE Account Development Executives with their marketing requirements to support their sales targets
• Assist with website updates and asset library management
• Conduct, collate and report both distributor and end-user customer satisfaction survey
• The 13 month placement will require a hand over to the the incoming intern for the following academic year. This should involve the creation of a 'how to guide' creating a platform for identifying areas of improvement

Job Specification

Essential requirements:

• Studying for an undergraduate degree typical as the third year of a 4-year degree and required to take a placement as part of your course
• This is a 13 month placement beginning in July or August 2024. This position is open to undergraduates who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course
• You must be living in the UK for the duration of the placement and within comfortable commuter distance of Farnham. Please note that your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply
• Before attending an interview for this position you must inform your faculty/school placement officer and we strongly suggest you check you are eligible for a placement before you apply. If your faculty/school does not have a placement officer, you must inform your course tutor

Necessary qualifications/skills:

• Ability to organise own work, prioritise tasks and work autonomously
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro preferred or other video software)
• Valid UK driver's license, ideally with own car
