About the Role – Placements

The Online Graduate Programme includes two placements:

• Stretch Placement: A role outside your academic discipline that enables you to build new skills and broaden your understanding of the wider business

• Core Placement: A role aligned to your interests within the Online function, allowing you to develop specialist knowledge and expertise

Each placement is structured around clear objectives and measurable outcomes, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact while accelerating your development.

Throughout the programme, you'll gain exposure to a variety of online and digital disciplines, including:

• E-commerce and Online Trading

• Digital Customer Experience

• Online Operations and Fulfilment

• Website and App Performance

• Customer Journey Optimisation

• Digital Marketing and Customer Engagement

• Data Analytics and Reporting

• Online Innovation and Future Retail Technology

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to analyse customer behaviour, identify opportunities for improvement, support digital initiatives, and help deliver a best-in-class online shopping experience.

By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a strong understanding of how online retail operates, how digital experiences influence customer loyalty, and how data-driven decisions help drive growth within Tesco’s online business.

Salary: €35,000

Annual Leave: Starting at 23 days per annum

You will be responsible for

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll take part in a structured 18-month development programme that includes:

• Upskilling workshops focused on digital retail, e-commerce, data analytics, and customer experience

• Personal development sessions to build your confidence, communication, and leadership skills

• Store and fulfilment centre visits to understand how online orders are delivered from click to doorstep

• Networking opportunities with graduates and leaders across the business

• Mentoring and coaching from experienced colleagues who will support your career development
