Join us in pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.

At Siemens Healthineers, you’ll join a global community that values individuality, encourages you to step beyond your comfort zone, and supports your personal and professional growth. We celebrate diversity and welcome the unique perspectives and experiences you bring.

At Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Eynsham, Oxford, we are a world leader in the design and manufacture of superconducting MRI magnets for medical applications. We are proud to develop truly innovative technology and continue to push the boundaries to make MRI systems more accessible worldwide.

Apply now for the Operations Training Facilitation Intern role and gain hands-on experience within one of the world’s leading healthcare companies. Based at our Magnet Technology factory, you will help coordinate training activities and support employee development across manufacturing operations — playing an important part as we prepare for our transition to our new Bicester facility.

You will initially be based mainly at our Eynsham site in 2026 and will spend time at our brand-new Bicester facility as it comes online in 2027. This will give you a unique insight into how a large-scale business manages the transition of operations while maintaining day-to-day delivery.

This 12-month internship offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to our team, develop your skills, and take on real responsibility — supported by a structured Intern Development Programme.

Your Role

As an Operations Training Facilitation Intern, you'll support the coordination, facilitation, and delivery of training and development initiatives across manufacturing operations. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and HR, contributing to projects and training that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal training activities, including scheduling sessions, organising logistics, tracking attendance, and maintaining accurate records through our skills matrix.
  • Help develop and update training materials aligned with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Support new starter inductions and act as a central point of contact for operational training queries.
  • Contribute to projects linked to our operational strategy, including multi-site collaboration and future manufacturing developments.
  • Assist with preparations linked to the new Bicester facility, helping ensure teams are training-ready during transitions.
  • Support internal communications to ensure training updates and operational initiatives are clearly shared across the business.

Alongside your day-to-day role, you will take part in our 12-month Intern Development Programme, designed to build skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness.

About You

We’re looking for an undergraduate student currently studying towards (or recently completing) a degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, HR, or a related field, and seeking a 12-month industrial placement or sandwich-year internship as part of your degree.

You should have:

  • An interest in learning & development, operations, manufacturing, or engineering environments — but you don’t need prior industry experience; we’ll support you as you learn.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with a range of teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and an interest in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Good IT skills, with experience using multiple software programmes.

You should also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the internship (Summer 2026 – Summer 2027)

We welcome applications from students from all backgrounds, including those who may not have had access to traditional industry opportunities. If you require reasonable adjustments at any stage, please let us know so we can support you.
