Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a university student seeking a year-long placement as part of their degree to join our friendly People team. You’ll gain valuable experience across a range of HR functions while supporting day-to-day activities and contributing to the Bigham’s Love engagement agenda.
Role Responsibility
Key Accountabilities
- Promote and Activate Wellbeing and Diversity and Inclusion agenda
- Support with Events and Great Place to work agenda
- Provide regular up to date data for trend analysis and insight on people KPI’s
- Support in ER meetings
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and bring fresh ideas to Wellbeing and Diversity and Inclusion agenda
- Create comms plan and timings for action plan of Great Place to work
- Support ‘people administrator and reception’ in events and on-site activities, leading some site activities.
- Regular production of data and stats to hold managers to account and to report on progress and areas of risk on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Support managers in absence and welfare meetings
- Cover reception if ‘people administrator and reception’ is on leave
- Review and update the existing HR templates

Qualifications And Experience
- Working towards a degree (preferably HR or Management degree)
Key Skills
- A confident communicator
- Basic numerate skills
- Excellent intrapersonal skills
- Intermediate ability with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work well in a team
