We are looking for an enthusiastic Packaging and Logistics Placement Student to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/CBS segment in UK, Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 2nd June 2025.
External Qualifications and Competencies
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identifying and managing packaging safety/quality improvements.
- Packaging data collection and analysis from external suppliers and other Cummins Sites.
- Visualization of data to drive meaningful decisions.
- Conduction, recording and reporting on packaging quality audits.
- Collaborating with Site Packaging Technicians to complete Continuous improvement tickets assigned to packaging.
- Creation of packaging specifications for packaging material and outbound product.
Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in Packaging Design/Business/Logistics/Supply Chain/Project Management/ related area.
- Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI.
- Previous experience in business or packaging and warehousing.
- Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively.
