We are looking for an enthusiastic Packaging Environmental & Regulatory Student to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 7th July 2025.
External Qualifications and Competencies
There will be a keen focus on developing the processes needed to effectively manage the constantly changing packaging regulatory environment across the globe. The environmental impact of packaging is also a focus of this role and will consist of developing a process to audit packaging waste at manufacturing facilities to meet our PLANET2050 goals.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identifying and managing packaging environmental and regulatory improvement projects.
- Developing and deploying a physical waste audit process for UK based manufacturing and logistics facilities.
- Packaging Data Collection and Analysis from external suppliers and other Cummins Sites.
- Working with Global Supply chain Partners on Environmental Packaging Improvement Projects.
- Providing input and developing visuals for Environmental / Regulatory Newsletter.
- Reading and interpreting regulatory guidance.
Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Working towards a degree in Sciences/Business/Logistics/Supply Chain/Project Management related area.
- Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBi.
- Previous experience in business or packaging and warehousing a plus.
- Ability to process legal or regulatory information, understand data, solve problems and think innovatively.
