We are looking for an enthusiastic Supplier Quality student to join our team specializing in Quality for our Supplier Quality business unit in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 28th July 2025.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Power Systems VPI programs APQP and PPAP activities of High, Med & Low risk suppliers
  • Maintains, track and update Cummins Quality Systems Management (CQMS), Source Release and PPAP activities through reporting and administration
  • Supports Component / Supplier risk assessments with supplier selection and Supplier visits
  • Complete 6Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and lead a 6Sigma Green Belt project to improve Supplier Quality processes
  • Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues
  • Participate in community engagement as part of Cummins commitment to Corporate Responsibility

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineer or a Business-related degree (Supply chain / Quality / Project Management)
  • Self-motivated and confident to work independently with proactive time management and prioritization of tasks
  • Continuous participation and contribution as a team member, including great cross-functional communication skills and able to define and solve problems in a disciplined approach
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
