We are looking for an enthusiastic Supplier Quality Engineer student to join our team specializing in Quality for our Corporate Categories SQE department in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 4th August 2025, this is a 100% remote role.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Detailed involvement in Functional Excellence – opportunity to work with other Business Units to help share common processes, tools and resources to better achieve business goals
  • Working with a group of suppliers – Quality Performance / Analysis of Data
  • Supplier Interactions / Communication and Relationship Building with Suppliers
  • Reading, Understanding and Communicating Technical Drawings and Specifications
  • Engagement across a number of teams, gaining category experience
  • IT/Systems/Simulation aligned with Industry 4.0 / Supplier Quality 4.0 Digital Transformations

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant STEM degree
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office packages, including Teams. Experience with Power BI would be advantageous, however full training will be provided
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Positive attitude, great personal motivation, and an effective member of a team
