About the Role

Within your role as a Placement Year – Ground Engineering at BakerHicks, you will be required to prepare and input to various stages of Ground Engineering deliverables, supporting the companies growth on all aspects of projects across a number of sectors including power, rail, highways, life sciences, nuclear and aviation.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Undertake the design and specification of Ground Engineering activities.
  • Undertake site inspections of existing assets.
  • Represent BakerHicks on site visits where required to observe ground investigation works.

Skills and Experience

  • We’re looking for individuals with a passion for Ground Engineering and who are studying a Civil Engineering or Earth Sciences degree and working towards achieving at least a 2:1 grade.
  • Feel confident to challenge the status quo.
  • Strive for perfect delivery and possess a willingness to get involved with every opportunity to develop yourself and put our customers first.
