The Role

The Social Media Assistant provides support to the Social Media Lead and Brand Communications team and facilitates the smooth operation of the department, contributing to the long-term growth of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the creation of social media marketing material, ensuring a high level of quality and alignment with wider marketing activity.

  • Act as a central point of contact for Social, liaising with agency partners and internal stakeholders on projects.

  • Support the Social Media Lead across Kia’s social activity including quarterly campaigns, content review, influencer management and photoshoot planning.

  • Lead on performance reporting, gathering results and insights from relevant platforms and stakeholders to supply to senior leadership and the wider global organisation.

  • Assist with managing large budgets, reconciling against marketing activity.

  • Liaise with other marketing teams (such as Web, CRM, Events, Fleet and Product), as well as various agencies to ensure consistency of process and clear outputs.

About You

  • Studying a relevant degree (e.g. Marketing, Digital Media or Business-related subject)

  • Able to work effectively within a team and independently.

  • Passionate and hard-working, open to developing knowledge and skills.

  • Proactive, taking the initiative to develop fresh approaches and new ideas.

Location/Travel

The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton-on-Thames, just a 5-minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on-site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports.
