We are currently working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Muswell Hill who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher (ECT) for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This position is within Key Stage 2 and is suitable for Early Career Teachers who are either beginning their induction or have recently completed it.
The Role
As a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher, you will:
- Take full responsibility for teaching, planning and assessment within your class
- Work as part of a supportive Key Stage 2 phase team
- Develop engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where all pupils can thrive
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver cross-curricular and enrichment opportunities
- Use formative and summative assessments effectively to track progress
This is a full-time classroom role, with additional support from teaching assistants and senior staff.
Support for ECTs
The school has a strong track record of successfully supporting Early Career Teachers through their induction period. As an ECT, you will receive:

Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, either during training or in a previous role
- A sound understanding of the national curriculum
- A positive, proactive approach and strong classroom management skills
Successful candidates will be required to complete full registration and safeguarding checks with Philosophy Education before starting the contract.
