By undertaking placement in one of our production teams, you will support the planning, development, and creation of content for our platforms. This can involve assisting teams working across production schedules and budgets, coordinating and providing administrative support for various departments, and creative support on a number of developments and productions.
We have multiple internships available within this remit. By applying for this opportunity, you will be considered for one of the below areas. If you have a particular preference, please note this in your cover letter.
Animation
This team commissions original animated series for Disney+. Within this team, we have two internships available; one with a focus on production management and the other with a focus on creative support. The Production Management Intern will be part of the day-to-day management of original animated productions from development to final delivery. The Creative Animation Intern will work closely with the executives from pitch development to post-production. In this role, you will read submissions and scripts, and review animatics and animation. These roles are ideal for storytelling enthusiasts with an interest or background in Animation.
Disney+
Within our growing streaming business, you could be considered for multiple opportunities. As a Creative Operations Intern, you will be coordinating approval processes for creative promotions for Disney+ across the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, ensuring project timelines are met. Or as a Content Intern, you will oversee and evaluate content for Disney+ streaming and competing streaming services, updating internal trackers and conducting presentations on content highlights. Across both of these roles, we will be looking for interns with a passion for content and streaming.
Live Action and Original Productions
This team commissions original live action series for Disney+ across the UK and EMEA. In this internship, you will be supporting a lively team as they create original TV shows from early development through to release on the platform. This role is both administrative and creative, and you’ll have opportunities to read submissions and scripts for the team, as well as supporting shows already in development and production. You will also gain exposure to several teams across production, marketing, and programming, coordinating with those teams across a variety of projects.
National Geographic
You could be supporting the production, delivery or promotion of documentaries under a legendary brand for our linear channels and Disney+. As a Live Action Intern, you could support the production of original unscripted content, managing meetings, tracking milestones, and assisting with research and documentation. Or as a Programming Intern, you could assist in creating detailed monthly programming schedules, analyse ratings data, and contribute to innovative schedule strategies, stunts and plans. Alternatively, you could lend your passion for TV to Media Planning and Presentation where you will focus on promotions and campaign planning for live TV channels, involving system management and strategy execution. Or you could join Global Acquisitions, working with producers and distributors from around the world to find the best programmes for our global networks, getting the inside track on deal negotiation, joining pitches and developing your strategic thinking. Finally, within our National Geographic (NG) Promotions team, you could work as a Production Intern, where you will be overseeing promotional material for NG programs, managing voiceover & graphics bookings, quality checking and ensuring successful delivery internationally. Or as an Asset Management Intern where you will be supervising assets for campaigns, such as episodes, scripts, artwork, promos and more. You will also get the opportunity to utilise Photoshop to design images for on-demand platforms and creative newsletters that are distributed to teams across EMEA.
