Purchase Ledger Assistant - Undergraduate Placement
Job Description
Pirelli is a truly international group and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-performance tyres. Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd is the company responsible for all the Pirelli Tyre related operations in the UK.
The Finance function is based in Burton on Trent Head Office and is responsible for Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd and its subsidiaries.
Main Duties Include
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs in line with company procedures and payment deadlines.
- Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account-related issues.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and obtain required information or approvals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier account records.
- Ensure invoices are correctly coded, authorised, and processed in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end activities and reporting as required.
- Support the wider Accounts Payable team with day-to-day tasks and process improvements.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all AP processes are completed in accordance with company policies and controls.
Our Requirements
- Studying towards an Accounting / Finance related degree.
- Good IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, which must include Excel.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Adaptable to change and a flexible approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential.
